Jay was born, grew up, and studied at two universities in the United States. He was a student and counselor at Alexander Muss High School in Israel, studied at Hebrew University of Jerusalem Graduate Studies Program, and went to Ulpan Etzion in Jerusalem immediately after making aliyah in January 1997. He is a former League Coordinator at American Football in Israel, and a former Sports Editor at The Jerusalem Post. Jay has lived in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Modiin, Ramat Gan, and Lahavot Habashan. He currently lives in Or Akiva, and is working as a technical writer at a digital advertising solutions provider.
